Lugano, Switzerland, May 2009 - Datamars, a leading global supplier of high performance RFID-based solutions today announced that Jan Lipton has been appointed as new chairman of the Board of Directors of Datamars as of May 1st, 2009.

Jan brings a wealth of management experience in international business and technology to the company, he held various executive positions in management of companies like Schindler, Forbo, ESEC and others.

Jan Lipton follows Parvis Hassan-Zade as chairman, who started the company over 20 years ago and who will continue to provide his expertise and experience as a member of the Board of Directors. Jan holds a Masters degree in engineering and a PhD in Material Science from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, ETH in Zürich and Lausanne.
